Mohamed Mabrouq Azeez
The preceding President of MUIC Debate Club and currently one of Thailand’s most thought-after trainers for both debating at the tertiary level and at the secondary level, our Chief Adjudicator has a debate resume typical of Mahidol Debate caliber. Mabrouq is also a three-time National Champion of Thailand (including the last two EU-Thailand Debates consecutively), BestSpeaker of EU-Thailand 2009, a Semi Finalist and the 2nd Best Speaker at the 175th Anniversary of Thai–American Diplomatic Relations Commemorative Debate, a Quarter Finalists and the 8th Best Speaker at World Universities Peace Invitational Debate 2009, Quarter finalist at Singapore Management University Hammers 2009 and a Quarter Finalists at Asian Universities Debate Championship 2009 & 2010. He has participated at innumerable regional tournaments. Needless to say, Mabrouq’s debate experience and expertise is vast. His adjudication experience is no less impressive – a breaking adjudicator at the 1st Asian British Parliamentary Debates 2009, the DCA of 3rd CU–America and the World Debating Championship, Co-Chief Adjudicator for 1st Thailand World Schools Debating Championship. He is well-known for his conceptual and innovative debate motions, and promises not only to bring to the table creative, challenging motions, but also a whole new paradigm for running a debate tournament. Mabrouq is currently the assistant coach to the National High School Debate Team and the most popular debate trainer at MUIC.
